WHY BLUE SEAL?
STRESS
RESISTANCE
Blue Seal has 5,700 psi direct pull adhesive strength and 16,00-19,00 direct pull tensile strength. Most coating systems don’t have internal strength to add to the base metal. Blue Seal’s high tensile and adhesive strength can help add strength back to a pitted or corroded substrate.
INCREASED
ELASTICITY
At 12% elasticity, Blue Seal is 12x more flexible than similar products. Blue Seal’s elasticity allows it to absorb energy from impact, decreasing the likelihood of coating failure. Blue Seal will out flex most substrates, even fiberglass and aluminum. Most substrates will yield long before Blue Seal will debond.
CHEMICAL
RESISTANCE
Blue Seal is so corrosion resistant that, even for submersion duty, it will protect steel from extremely harsh chemical solutions like 35% hydrochloric acid, 78% sulfuric acid or pure sodium hypochlorite.
REDUCE
DOWN TIME
Blue Seal can be applied at 4,000 sq ft per hour with 1-hour cure times, even at temperatures as low as -30° C. It has over 4x the durability and longevity of other coating systems, there by eliminating the need for repairs, and surface prepping and re-coating multiple times.
DIELECTRIC
STRENGTH
Each mil of Blue Seal will withstand 600 volts. At 40 mils of coating thickness, Blue Seal will insulate the substrate from over 20,000 volts without coating failure or damage. Blue Seal is commonly used as an insulator between dissimilar metals.
SAFE TO USE
ANYWHERE
Once catalyzed, Blue Seal is completely inert and biologically safe. It is manufactured using 100% solids and contains no biocides, tin, copper, or other harmful heavy metals. It is FDA compliant for use in food service applications, and NSF61 complaint for use in potable water tanks.
